Mimosa !!! My favorite flowers as a child. In the 1970s Netherlands they were sold as tiny twigs in a plastic folder. They said they flew them in from south Africa! If you were lucky put them in warm water they would maybe show some felty yellowish little balls. They still fascinated me. Nothing to do with this lush voluptuous beauty growing around my corner! Every year I am longing to see this tree in its full splendor. I might have one myself…. One day.
